Then in the absolutely EPIC final double page of the chapter, Roger and Garp used a combine attack to defeat rocks.
Roger: If we can settle this, all three of us will be knocked unconscious…
Garp: If we miss, then we’re done for…
Garp: Rocks! I don’t know any consoling words for you, and I don’t even know what happened to you… but I can say this — I understand your regrets!
(We see Rocks’ face — he looks deeply pained, tears streaming down his face)
Roger: Stop crying you fool… HINOKAGUTSUCHI NO…
Garp: INFINITUM…
Roger: ACE!!!
Garp: EXPLOSION!!!
Note:
-Roger’s technique is written in Kanji as “火之迦具土慧士” which is read as “Hi no Kagutsuchi Eisu” meaning “Fire God Kagutsuchi – Wise Man” (Kagutsuchi is the fire deity in Japanese mythology, the son of Izanami and Izanagi)
-Garp’s technique is written in Kanji as “無限拳骨”, It’s proper reading is “mugen genkotsu” meaning “Infinite Fists”. The kana reading is “INFINITUM EXPLOSION”
Garp winds up, punching the air and creating afterimages with his fists before striking Rocks. His technique resembles Luffy’s Gomu Gomu no Gatling. Roger winds up as well, twirling his sword in a circular motion before unleashing multiple slashes at Rocks. Both of their attacks land, and we can see the dark energy of the Domi Reversi seeping away from Xebec.
—————————————
NARRATOR: The World Government tried to bury this entire incident in darkness, but… the fall of the unruly crew led by Rocks D. Xebec — the Rocks Pirates, who once plunged an entire era into chaos — left an indelible echo that shook the world!
End Note: The whole story of the legendary incident!!!
