The Elbaf Arc continues to solidify itself as one of One Piece’s most legendary storylines, and Chapter 1165 pushes it even further.
Following the intensity of the God Valley flashback, Eiichiro Oda finally delivers the long-awaited climax — the legendary showdown between Rocks D. Xebec, Gol D. Roger, and Monkey D. Garp.
In the previous chapter, Rocks underwent a terrifying transformation after being struck by Imu’s forbidden power — Domi Reversi.
This ability turned him into a near-immortal demon with immense power, speed, and destructive aura. Under this state, Rocks had single-handedly overwhelmed even the future Yonko — Big Mom, Kaido, and Whitebeard — defeating them effortlessly.

Chapter 1165, titled “Echoes,” opens where the last chapter left off. As Roger and Garp face the monstrous Domi Reversi Rocks, they both sense his overwhelming aura — his voice echoing through the battlefield.
Their first attacks, even when infused with Conqueror’s Haki, failed to pierce Rocks’ defenses.
The resulting clash, however, split the skies and tore the mountains apart, creating a massive shockwave across God Valley.
Bruised but unyielding, Roger and Garp cast aside their jackets, preparing for one final stand.
Amid the chaos, communication snails buzzed — both warriors vowing to return, even if it cost them everything.
In a surprising exchange, Roger admitted he had originally come to steal treasure and Shakky, while Garp confessed he had planned to arrest both Roger and Rocks. Yet destiny forced them to join hands.
Meanwhile, the Rocks Pirates began to crumble. Shiki accepted that their era was ending, while Linlin (Big Mom) and Kaido exchanged heated words — swearing future rivalries that would one day define the seas.
Elsewhere, a young Newgate (Whitebeard) rejected an alliance offer from Polo Gram, foreshadowing the lone path he would take.
Even Dragon, aboard a Marine ship, showed early signs of rebellion, threatening a superior officer to save civilians — a clear hint of the revolutionary spirit he would later embody.

As the battle raged on, even their strongest Supreme King Haki strikes could not damage Rocks.
His own Haki perfectly neutralized theirs, proving just how far beyond human limits he had ascended. Roger then proposed a desperate gamble — combining all their remaining power into one final, all-out assault.
The climax unfolded in a breathtaking double-page spread.
Roger unleashed “Hinokagutsuchi no Ace,” a divine blaze of thrusts symbolizing the wisdom of a flame god.
Garp followed with “Infinitum Explosion,” a relentless barrage of punches rivaling Luffy’s Gatling-style fury.
Their combined might finally shattered the demonic body of Rocks D. Xebec. The explosion leveled what remained of God Valley, signaling the fall of the most fearsome pirate crew in history.

As the dust settled, Imu, possessing Saturn’s body, commanded the World Government to erase God Valley from existence.
The Marines and Cipher Pol 6 obliterated every trace of the island and the infamous “hunting tournament.”
The narrator closes the chapter with haunting words:
“The World Government sought to bury this incident completely. Yet the fall of the Rocks Pirates — a group born of chaos — echoed through history and shaped an era.”
With that, Chapter 1165 ends, marking the fall of Rocks D. Xebec and the dawn of a new age for Roger, Garp, and the world itself. One Piece Chapter 1165 will officially release on November 9, 2025, on Manga Plus, with a one-week break following this monumental chapter.
