One Piece Elbaf Arc: Loki Confirmed as the Main Villain Before the Final Battle

The Elbaf Arc in One Piece has completely taken fans by surprise. Beyond unveiling the long-awaited Elbaf mural and deep God Valley secrets, Eiichiro Oda has masterfully shifted focus to Loki, setting him up as the arc’s true antagonist — not Imu as many had believed.

Earlier chapters revealed Imu taking over Gunko’s body, establishing him as a godlike figure on Elbaf.

However, despite his overwhelming power, it seems Oda has no plans for Luffy to face Imu directly yet. Instead, the story points to a corrupted version of Loki, under the influence of Imu’s mysterious ability Domi Reversi, as the main threat of Elbaf.

Oda Sets Up Loki as the True Enemy in Elbaf

Roger Garp vs Rocks

Imu has long been portrayed as the strongest being in One Piece.

The God Valley Incident confirmed his devastating power — surviving simultaneous attacks from titans like Rocks, Roger, Garp, Whitebeard, Kaido, and Big Mom. Even after such a brutal onslaught, Imu regenerated effortlessly.

With Luffy still far from that power level, a direct clash would end in certain defeat. Oda’s narrative hints that Loki will become the “final boss” of the Elbaf Arc — twisted by Imu’s Domi Reversi ability. This corruption could make Loki a puppet of darkness, echoing how Rocks fell under Imu’s control at God Valley.

Interestingly, Oda foreshadowed this confrontation much earlier. Luffy once declared that if Loki caused trouble, he would take him down — mirroring the legend that Shanks once defeated Loki. It now seems Oda will allow Luffy to relive that same triumph, defeating Loki in his corrupted form.
